Flora Eileen Rogers

Flora Eileen Rogers, age 73, of Maryville, passed away Monday, June 4, 2012, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Andy and Susie Elizabeth Owenby; brothers, Herman Hal Owenby, and Elmer Andy Owenby, Jr.; and sisters, Mae Lucile Owenby, Emma Laverne Cooper, Dorthy Bessie Cooke, Marjarie Beatrice Owenby, Betty Jo Hammontree, and Mary Irene Owenby. She is survived by her husband of almost 55 years, Harvey Huston Rogers; daughter, Susan Rachelle Rogers; granddaughter, Kristin Rachelle Cope; grandson, Joshua Wayne Owsley; great-grandchildren, Abigayle and Emelia Cope; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 7:00 PM Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel, Rev. Bill Dixon and Rev. Greg McDonald officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the American Heart Association (800-242-8721) or to Alzheimer’s Tennessee (865-544-6288). Family and friends will gather 11:00 AM Friday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery for the interment. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville, (865) 982-6041, www.millerfuneralhome.org.
