Annie Elizabeth Buchanan

Annie Elizabeth Bryant Buchanan, age 91 of Maryville, passed away Friday June 29, 2012 at Maryville Health Care. She was a member of Lower Chilhowee Baptist Church and also attended Forest Hill Baptist and Faith Baptist Churches. She had a lifelong passion of gardening, canning, and cooking. She is preceded in death by her husband, Green Buchanan; son, Charles (Popeye) Bryant; parents, Robert Calvin and Beulah Cecil Cook Bryant; brothers, Issac, Robert, Harley, James (Jim), and Don Bryant; sisters, Minnis Bryant, Ethel Bryant Tipton, Mary Lou Bryant Clark; stepsons, Luke, Marvin “Joe” and J.R.(Phyllis) Buchanan; granddaughter, Kay Baumgardner. She is survived by sons and daughters in law, Sherman and Carolyn Bryant, Ernest and Vicky Bryant; grandchildren, Jessica (Andrew) Skeenes, Jennifer (George) Bunch, Joey (Gary) Collins, Kim (Charles) Dockery, Robin Ogle, Darlene Bryant, Ronald Bryant; 50 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; sister, Bertha Tipton; brother, Fred Bryant; stepsons and daughters, Tom, Bert (Thelma), Wayne “Asbery” (Carolyn), Janice Navotny, James “Googe” (Lois), Hope (Jimmy) Raper, Lorraine (Tommy) Ray, Rosie (Jimmy) Hannah; step daughter in law, Helen (Joe) Buchanan, all of Maryville, and Leonard (Wanda) Buchanan of Locust Grove, GA; 26 grandchildren; several great great grandchildren. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff and caregivers at Maryville Health Care for your hard work and kindness during the past few years. The graveside and interment service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday June 30, 2012 at Lower Chilhowee Baptist Church Cemetery, Rev. Joe White and Rev. Beecher Whitehead officiating. A celebration of life will follow the graveside service at the fellowship hall at Forest Hill Baptist Church. The arrangements have been completed with Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
